After 10 minutes of play, Matanza and Steelers's Indiana Jones made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 14th minute Ronaldinho Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Edgar Munhoz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Toa Toa 4EVER's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matanza and Steelers the free kick. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Toa Toa 4EVER! During the 21st minute of the match Edgar Munhoz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Edgar Munhoz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Toa Toa 4EVER getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Edgar Munhoz hit a great ball. Doriva Alves hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the match, Matanza and Steelers's Ronaldinho Carneiro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 26th minute, Ronaldinho Carneiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Freitas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Doriva Alves's late challenge caught a Matanza and Steelers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doriva Alves helped the player get up and apologised. 34 minutes into the match, Toa Toa 4EVER's goal looked a bit too open when Indiana Jones came free, but João Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Indiana Jones got in the 42nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but João Freitas handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Walmyr Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Indiana Jones in the 47th minute of play forced Toa Toa 4EVER's goalkeeper João Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diguinho Nunes to strike the kick off in the second half. Falcão Zanette's late challenge caught a Toa Toa 4EVER's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Falcão Zanette helped the player get up and apologised. Diguinho Nunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 64 minutes, Walmyr Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Toa Toa 4EVER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walmyr Cardoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doriva Alves in the 69th minute of play forced Matanza and Steelers's goalkeeper Matías Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Walmyr Cardoso made a precise shot to the right of Matías Quirino. Matanza and Steelers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 74 minutes into the match, Matanza and Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Walmyr Cardoso came free, but Matías Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walmyr Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Matías Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Freitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldinho Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute, Genílson Lucas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Freitas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Belmiro Bertassi hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the game, Aílton Montenegro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
