Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 115, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Otávio Valadares made the kick off which started today's match. After a rather tough play, CA Portugália's Régis Almeida got a free kick in the 13th minute. Otávio Valadares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the game, Angelo Senna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CA Portugália's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espigão Steamrollers the free kick. The supporters of Espigão Steamrollers booed when CA Portugália was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Carlos Paranaense struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Álvaro Zanette didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espigão Steamrollers. Evandro Barros took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vicente Catarinense. Espigão Steamrollers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Ruy Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Régis Almeida during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Régis Almeida hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute of the match Luiz Fabiano Nóbrega shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Álvaro Zanette showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, CA Portugália's Angelo Senna got a free kick in the 26th minute. Zé Carlos Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 28 minutes into the match, Zé Carlos Paranaense notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of CA Portugália's Álvaro Zanette. Álvaro Zanette was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In a very dangerous position, a player in Espigão Steamrollers fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Angelo Senna placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Vicente Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Umberto Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Espigão Steamrollers's goalkeeper Vicente Catarinense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christiano Alves. After 39 played minutes CA Portugália got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Senna. Álvaro Zanette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Paranaense in the 40th minute of play. Evandro Barros's late challenge caught a Espigão Steamrollers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evandro Barros helped the player get up and apologised. After 41 played minutes CA Portugália got a freekick which was hit by Evandro Barros. If Zé Carlos Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vicente Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Negri in the 45th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 54th minute, Ruy Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute Christiano Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicente Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Negri in the 58th minute of the match. Álvaro Zanette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Carlos Paranaense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Espigão Steamrollers's Nelsinho Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 71 played minutes CA Portugália got a freekick which was hit by Fabiano Figueiredo. After a rather tough play, Espigão Steamrollers's Luiz Fabiano Nóbrega got a free kick in the 76th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zé Carlos Paranaense during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 86 minutes into the match, Espigão Steamrollers's goal looked a bit too open when Christiano Alves came free, but Vicente Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
