Spectators: 154 (Terracing: 116, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alfredão Mesquita took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute, Téo Guimarães left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sport Club Mavericks fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Téo Guimarães took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Frank Paraibano to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexsandro Lira got free with Frank Paraibano in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 11 in the game by Alfredão Mesquita from a close distance when the talented Frank Paraibano managed to make a qualified save. Floresta Negra FC's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Augusto Marquez in the 13th minute of play forced Floresta Negra FC's goalkeeper Frank Paraibano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Floresta Negra FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fred Vides was slow to take the kick. During this time Sport Club Mavericks's players had a chance to rest. Pedro Augusto Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Frank Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, José Paulo Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sport Club Mavericks's Fred Vides got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Paulo Paulista hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Floresta Negra FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Alfredão Mesquita scored to the left of an out of position Frank Paraibano, making the score, 3-0. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Floresta Negra FC's goalkeeper Frank Paraibano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rony Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oséas Leme in the 35th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Kléber de Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rony Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredão Mesquita got free with Frank Paraibano in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ian Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sport Club Mavericks's Fred Vides got a free kick in the 45th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Gabriel Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot. Floresta Negra FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Freire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rony Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oséas Leme made a kick off. Alfredão Mesquita took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frank Paraibano. Frank Paraibano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Guimarães in the 59th minute of play forced Floresta Negra FC's goalkeeper Frank Paraibano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredão Mesquita in the 60th minute of play. Lucas Amorim's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rony Paiva firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Alexsandro Lira fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sport Club Mavericks's protests and gave Alexsandro Lira a yellow card for diving instead. 67 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's Téo Guimarães sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frank Paraibano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, one of Floresta Negra FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Floresta Negra FC. Rony Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséas Leme in the 81st minute of play. After some careless play in the Sport Club Mavericks defense, Norberto Madureira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rony Paiva. The Sport Club Mavericks fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rony Paiva should have stopped the shot. If Téo Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sport Club Mavericks were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Floresta Negra FC for a fine match.
