Carlinhos Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes C.A Gryffindor got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Eduardo Gonçalves. Kaká Reis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Faustino Asprilla went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 19th minute, Faustino Asprilla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Gilberto Silveira made a precise shot to the right of Antônio Rezende. C.A Gryffindor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Arlindo Marques took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Antônio Rezende. C.A Gryffindor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Faustino Asprilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Kaká Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafa Diniz got free with Kaká Reis in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Eduardo Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká Reis having to interfere. After the first half OS IMPOSSIVEIS were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilberto Silveira to make the kick off. Antônio Rezende made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Cesinha Galvão sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Eduardo Gonçalves's late challenge caught a OS IMPOSSIVEIS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Antônio Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezequiel Almeida in the 56th minute of the match. After 63 played minutes C.A Gryffindor got a freekick which was hit by Alex França. Antônio Rezende made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Cristiano Lopez sent off a good shot on target. Fiori Mazza was extremely unlucky when he, in the 66th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Gilberto Silveiras short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Antônio Rezende to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, C.A Gryffindor's Zé Pedro de Moraes got a free kick in the 68th minute. Antônio Rezende had in the 71stth minute some difficulties stopping Cristiano Bertassi's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball Antônio Rezende didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristiano Bertassi went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 75 minutes into the game, Gilberto Silveira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Antônio Rezende. Gilberto Silveira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. The audience was convinced that Fiori Mazza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antônio Rezende was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Faustino Asprilla scored 2-4 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kaká Reis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kaká Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Asprilla in the 85th minute of the match. Cesinha Galvão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Antônio Rezende made a huge save. C.A Gryffindor's Antônio Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fiori Mazza in the 88th minute of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Gilberto Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. OS IMPOSSIVEIS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilberto Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as OS IMPOSSIVEIS's Ezequiel Almeida slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Antônio Rezende. That made the score 2-5 after 95 minutes of play. The C.A Gryffindor manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing OS IMPOSSIVEIS to win.
