Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tiaguinho Pirani kicked off to start the match. When Cristóvão Mattos came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Guará FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristóvão Mattos couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Sena in the 10th minute of play forced Guará FC's goalkeeper Célio Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A A Arizona were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Guará FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gonçalo Sampaio took the corner. Célio Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Veloso in the 14th minute of play. When A A Arizona's Simão Sena in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guará FC's goalie prevented a goal. Thiago Matorin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ademir Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Célio Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermínio Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. When Thiago Matorin was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 29 minutes had been played. The supporters of A A Arizona booed when Guará FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thiago Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Sena in the 32nd minute of play forced Guará FC's goalkeeper Célio Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 33 minutes, Cristóvão Mattos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guará FC and the A A Arizona players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Cristóvão Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Guará FC's Vicente Cabral got a free kick in the 37th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Guará FC's zone, Simão Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Célio Mendonça came out of the goal and Simão Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Célio Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Sena in the 40th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nilton Seco to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Nilton Seco reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Célio Mendonça. The goal made the score 0-1. The audience was convinced that Simão Sena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Célio Mendonça was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Simão Sena took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Célio Mendonça. Célio Mendonça dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. A collision led to A A Arizona getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Emanuel Barreto hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, Nilton Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Guará FC's Oscar Cerezo got a free kick in the 71st minute. 74 minutes into the match, Guará FC's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Sena came free, but Célio Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute of the match A A Arizona got a corner. Guará FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gonçalo Sampaio ran over to the corner to take the kick. A A Arizona's Ernesto Cavalcante got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Célio Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilton Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Nilton Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guará FC's Célio Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilton Seco in the 87th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Nilton Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Célio Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nilton Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
