The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez got control of the ball when Luís Fábio Furlan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfredinho Quintal kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Sidney Amaral sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez didn't even have to move. The referee showed Cleiton Paulista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of EngTULIO&Tupipano booed when Marzagão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleiton Paulista didn't get a good kick on the ball. When César Rosa came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Marzagão fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that César Rosa couldn't finish the play. The referee gave EngTULIO&Tupipano a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sidney Amaral, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez. 2-0. Adrianinho Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Luís Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osmar Arruda, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute.
