Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Locomotiva grena's Adelino Nascimento started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tadeu Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Geraldo Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Rockets getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Doriva Medeiros hit a great ball. Tadeu Alvarenga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geraldo Queiroz having to interfere. If Adelino Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ediberto Tavares was a little too slow when Dudu Madureira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. Lino Soeiro was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 23 minutes into the match. Lucas Magalhães placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Valério Peres took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ediberto Tavares. Locomotiva grena's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tadeu Alvarenga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 31 minutes, Luiz Eduardo Pimenta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rockets and the Locomotiva grena players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Rockets got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Eduardo Pimenta. In the 38th minute, Adelino Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st minute Tadeu Alvarenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraldo Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, Rockets was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dudu Madureira to maneuver through the defense. Geraldo Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeu Alvarenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dudu Madureira made a kick off. In the 51st minute Dudu Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ediberto Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 53 minutes, Dudu Madureira made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Locomotiva grena's Ediberto Tavares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 59 minutes into the match, Fabinho Mattos notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Locomotiva grena's Ediberto Tavares. The referee ignored Locomotiva grena's protests and gave Adelino Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Locomotiva grena's Adelino Nascimento got a free kick in the 94th minute. Ediberto Tavares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dudu Madureira's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. The Rockets support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
