Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Rockets booed when F.C. Carmo De Kiev was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erivaldo Bastos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baltazar Velasco acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 14th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Joélson Melo. 16 minutes into the match, Thiago Junior notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Rockets's Geraldo Queiroz. Geraldo Queiroz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Amauri Varela charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amauri Varela the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Amauri Varela hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Rockets's Fabinho Mattos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Baltazar Velasco. Baltazar Velasco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. 24 minutes into the game, Naldo Garcia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rockets's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave F.C. Carmo De Kiev the free kick. The supporters of F.C. Carmo De Kiev booed when Rockets was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geraldo Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thiago Junior, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geraldo Queiroz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nico Teixeira went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. In the 46th minute Amauri Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geraldo Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thiago Junior stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Rockets defense, Thiago Junior kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Geraldo Queiroz. The Rockets fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Geraldo Queiroz should have stopped the shot. Thiago Junior did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-6 to the left of a surprised Geraldo Queiroz 58 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, F.C. Carmo De Kiev's goal looked a bit too open when Dudu Madureira came free, but Baltazar Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geraldo Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Thiago Junior sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Rockets getting a freekick after 68 minutes play.
