Adelino Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 7 played minutes Locomotiva grena got a freekick which was hit by Serginho Reis. After having played for 9 minutes, Jardel Mula managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coice de Mula's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jardel Mula was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th match minute, Locomotiva grena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfredo França to maneuver through the defense. Adelino Nascimento did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Pedro Lucas 21 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Edvaldo Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coice de Mula's supporters rose to their feet, but Edvaldo Soares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ediberto Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mathias Mangueira's late challenge caught a Coice de Mula's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mathias Mangueira helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 27th minute of the game. One of Locomotiva grena:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Coice de Mula:s goal. Joel Rezende shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Ediberto Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jardel Mula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tadeu Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Pedro Lucas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Coice de Mula's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeu Alvarenga came free, but Pedro Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Coice de Mula's Haroldo Pires got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 48 played minutes Coice de Mula got a freekick which was hit by Hudson Veloso. Lucas Magalhães took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 49th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Lucas. Coice de Mula's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Adelino Nascimento made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Coice de Mula getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Edvaldo Soares hit a great ball. Coice de Mula's Pedro Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Nascimento in the 57th minute of play. Pedro Luiz Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Pedro Lucas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adelino Nascimento went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Ediberto Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jardel Mula, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After 80 minutes, Manfredo França mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Locomotiva grena and the Coice de Mula players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manfredo França kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Adelino Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Locomotiva grena booed when Coice de Mula was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Rezende didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Coice de Mula's João Vítor de Mendonça got a free kick in the 94th minute. Pedro Lucas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélio Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Locomotiva grena's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
