In the 25thth minute of the game Orlando Vides who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MarquinhosEC's Sílvio Luiz Baiano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amílton Pena during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Vides in the 47th minute of play forced MarquinhosEC's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Enrique Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luiz Baiano having to interfere. The MarquinhosEC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
