The crowd rose to their feet as Silas Varela kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luizão Braga. That made the score 2-1 in the 33 minute of play. After 37 minutes of play, Guadalupe FC - CIMZ's Hortêncio de Queiroz made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 40th match minute, Guadalupe FC - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luís Maranhense to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the game, Sílvio Luís Maranhense recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luizão Braga. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.
