Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SRP-Laguna the free kick. 10 minutes into the match, Clemente Teles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roberto Barbosa. SRP-Laguna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clemente Teles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 15th minute Nelsinho Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger de Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roberto Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Teles, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 20th minute, Roger Melo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Roger de Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeu Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romeu Martins charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romeu Martins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Romeu Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Roberto Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Donato Arantes kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Roger Melo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Melo in the 45th minute of play forced SRP-Laguna's goalkeeper Roberto Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diego Barros to strike the kick off in the second half. Roger Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Barbosa having to interfere. Roberto Barbosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diego Barros in the 53rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Barros got free with Roberto Barbosa in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 57th match minute, SRP-Laguna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Maranhense to maneuver through the defense. If Clemente Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Luís Porto scored 0-6 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roberto Barbosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Diego Barross short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Roberto Barbosa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Roberto Barbosa came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Clemente Teles. But to his dismay, Clemente Teles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. In the 69th minute, Diogo Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the game, Roger Melo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Roberto Barbosa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nelsinho Mendes charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nelsinho Mendes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 76 minutes, Rubens Brasil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SRP-Laguna and the Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th match minute, SRP-Laguna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubens Brasil to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th match minute, SRP-Laguna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Arantes to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Barros got free with Roberto Barbosa in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. SRP-Laguna's Ivo Sergipano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Richard Alcântara, made in the 82nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Melo in the 88th minute of play forced SRP-Laguna's goalkeeper Roberto Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 93 played minutes SRP-Laguna got a freekick which was hit by Ivo Sergipano. In the 95th minute Diego Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romeu Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The SRP-Laguna fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
