In the 14th minute, Neymar Santos made a precise shot to the right of Elder Monteiro. Breguete FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Neymar Santos came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Pindorama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Neymar Santos couldn't finish the play. 31 minutes into the match, Breguete FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raúl de Brito came free, but Elder Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dida Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Pedro Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Elder Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cacá Pinheiro in the 35th minute of play. Edmílson Munhoz kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Dida Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitinho Galvão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th match minute, Pindorama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cacá Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Neymar Santos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Breguete FC's Vitinho Galvão in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Pindorama booed when Breguete FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitinho Galvão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dida Silva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vitinho Galvão's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Dida Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitinho Galvão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, Breguete FC's goal looked a bit too open when Neymar Santos came free, but Elder Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Breguete FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Emerson Leal hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vitinho Galvão in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dida Silva saved Pindorama from getting behind. José Vítor Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Elder Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dudu das Neves hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raúl de Brito got free with Elder Monteiro in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
