Spectators: 154 (Terracing: 116, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Galo do Japi's Dráusio Toscano started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ademir Carvalho got free with Chicão Oliveira in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cássio Paes hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. The long shot by Kauã Damião in the 4th minute really tested Chicão Oliveira's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Benedito Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Galo do Japi's Ademir Carvalho got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 12 played minutes Galo do Japi got a freekick which was hit by Kiko Novaes. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dráusio Toscano in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chicão Oliveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benedito Nóbrega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Paes in the 16th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Dráusio Toscano sped through Trindade Atlético Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Chicão Oliveira. Denílson Urbano's late challenge caught a Trindade Atlético Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Denílson Urbano helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Trindade Atlético Club booed when Galo do Japi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denílson Urbano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute Dráusio Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chicão Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cássio Paes made a kick off. Chicão Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denílson Urbano in the 52nd minute of the match. Chicão Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráusio Toscano in the 57th minute of play. With a little luck, Galo do Japi's Benedito Nóbrega got control of the ball when Cássio Paes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chicão Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dudu Alagoano in the 70th minute of the match. When Galo do Japi's Dudu Alagoano in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Benedito Nóbrega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trindade Atlético Club. Angelo Netto charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angelo Netto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd minute of the match Kauã Damião sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chicão Oliveira skillfully saved the ball. In the 84th minute, one of Galo do Japi:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Galo do Japi. Benedito Nóbrega had in the 85thth minute some difficulties stopping Cássio Paes's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Cássio Paes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benedito Nóbrega. Galo do Japi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cássio Paes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 87th minute, Dudu Alagoano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chicão Oliveira was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The Galo do Japi fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Galo do Japi's Dudu Alagoano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Galo do Japi fans cheered their team off the field, for while Trindade Atlético Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
