The supporters of Wolves FC - DMZ booed when Real Cruzeiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júnior Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Ceresso in the 48th minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Ivo Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Wolves FC - DMZ were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tião Custódio to make the kick off. Wolves FC - DMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Cruzeiro FC the free kick. Ivo Amaral was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tião Custódio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-7 in the 70 minute of play. The referee gave Júnior Salles a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
