Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Breno Diniz kicked off to start the match. Real Cruzeiro FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Dudu Vaz scored to the left of an out of position Ivo Amaral, making the score, 1-0. The supporters of Xandeco FC booed when Real Cruzeiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belmiro Urbano didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Vianna in the 15th minute of play forced Xandeco FC's goalkeeper Waldir Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Real Cruzeiro FC's Ivo Amaral got control of the ball when Virgílio Teixeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Xandeco FC's Dudu Vaz in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Real Cruzeiro FC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Real Cruzeiro FC booed when Xandeco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgílio Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Luís Guilherme Cabral made a precise shot to the right of Waldir Pontes. Xandeco FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 24th minute, Luís Guilherme Cabral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Waldir Pontes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Júnior Salles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Waldir Pontes having to make a save. Waldir Pontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonçalo Sarmento's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. After 40th play minutes Virgílio Teixeira shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Ivo Amaral and just under the crossbar into goal. Waldir Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonçalo Sarmento in the 43rd minute of the match. Dudu Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivo Amaral having to interfere. Real Cruzeiro FC were awarded a corner in the 50th minute after Xandeco FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Júnior Salles took the corner. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Breno Diniz in the 54th minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Ivo Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivo Amaral came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Xandeco FC's Dudu Vaz. But to his dismay, Dudu Vaz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. After some careless play in the Real Cruzeiro FC defense, Breno Diniz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ivo Amaral. The Real Cruzeiro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivo Amaral should have stopped the shot. Ivo Amaral came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Xandeco FC's Breno Diniz. But to his dismay, Breno Diniz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Ivo Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Teixeira in the 70th minute of the match. Ronaldo Vianna hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Virgílio Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivo Amaral having to interfere. Sandrinho Catarinense hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Luís Guilherme Cabral hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. When Waldir Gonçalves fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Xandeco FC's protests and gave Waldir Gonçalves a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute, Waldir Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivo Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breno Diniz in the 85th minute of play. Ivo Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamim Gomes in the 93rd minute of play. Waldir Pontes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gonçalo Sarmento in the 97th minute. Luís Guilherme Cabral scored 5-3 in the 99th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waldir Pontes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Xandeco FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Real Cruzeiro FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
