An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Baptista in the 5th minute of play forced Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper José Paulo Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5thth minute of the game Gonçalo Baptista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's José Paulo Xavier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Baptista in the 6th minute of play forced Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper José Paulo Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonçalo Baptista took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Paulo Xavier. José Paulo Xavier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. José Paulo Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonçalo Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cesinha Mazza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Walmir Leme came out and tried to block the shot, but Cesinha Mazza slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 26th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Zé Augusto Mineiro notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's José Paulo Xavier. José Paulo Xavier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gonçalo Baptista was the one to do the kick off. Zé Augusto Mineiro hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Gonçalo Baptista kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving José Paulo Xavier. That made the score 1-3 in the 61 minute of play. When Cristóvão Alves fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lupere FC - DMZ's protests and gave Cristóvão Alves a yellow card for diving instead. Cristóvão Alves hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, Lupere FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Joélson Donatello came free, but Walmir Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the last second José Paulo Xavier throw himself and got hold of the ball when Gonçalo Baptista in the 74thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Zé Augusto Mineiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Paulo Xavier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Walmir Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joélson Donatello in the 93rd minute of play.
