The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lupere FC - DMZ's attentive Flavinho Tavares managed to snatch the ball when Douglas Teixeira made a throw-in in the 4th minute of the game. With a little luck, S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Fellipe Albuquerque got control of the ball when Gonçalo Baptista tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to S.E. Pindorama Eagles getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Luís Donatello hit a great ball. After 11 minutes, Gonçalo Baptista made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Fellipe Albuquerque tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Gonçalo Baptista scored to the left of an out of position Fellipe Albuquerque, making the score, 2-0. Fellipe Albuquerque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Augusto Mineiro in the 31st minute of the match. Fellipe Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Augusto Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The long shot by Valdo Mazza in the 38th minute really tested Fellipe Albuquerque's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Gonçalo Baptista might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fellipe Albuquerque. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gonçalo Baptista ran back to his position shaking his head. Gonçalo Baptista came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fellipe Albuquerque could save by the left post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gonçalo Baptista to make the kick off. If Gonçalo Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fellipe Albuquerque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Augusto Mineiro in the 60th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Lupere FC - DMZ's Jorginho Madureira got a free kick in the 64th minute. 67 minutes into the match, S.E. Pindorama Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Flavinho Tavares came free, but Fellipe Albuquerque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Fernando Bertassi during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jardel Guimarães took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fellipe Albuquerque. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Douglas Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After 74 played minutes, Lupere FC - DMZ's Jardel Guimarães shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fellipe Albuquerque came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Pindorama Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Leme. Fellipe Albuquerque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Augusto Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 played minutes S.E. Pindorama Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Bertassi. In the 84th minute, Flavinho Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Zé Augusto Mineiro put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fellipe Albuquerque. Jorginho Madureira kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Gonçalo Baptista made a precise shot to the right of Fellipe Albuquerque. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. After 95 played minutes Lupere FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Flavinho Tavares. Gonçalo Baptista struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Fellipe Albuquerque didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lupere FC - DMZ. Lupere FC - DMZ walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
