Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Alfredo da Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toninho Coutinho in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edson de Lara in the 13th minute of play forced Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s goalkeeper Alfredo da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Tomás Sarmento in the 18th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Naldo Simão. In the 26th match minute, Litoral EC - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moisés Garcia to maneuver through the defense. Charles Vergílio kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s goal looked a bit too open when Ricardinho Vander came free, but Alfredo da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Gilvan Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomás Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Toninho Coutinho had several of the Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 36 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Alfredo da Costa as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 40th minute, Ulisses Munhoz made a precise shot to the right of Alfredo da Costa. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Vander in the 43rd minute of play forced Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s goalkeeper Alfredo da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sílvio Luiz das Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrianinho Furtado in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th match minute, Litoral EC - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edson de Lara to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 52nd minute Toninho Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardinho Vander in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo da Costa saved Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® from getting behind. Virgílio Borges took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alfredo da Costa. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 65th minute Toninho Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Percival Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Virgílio Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot. Litoral EC - CIMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Virgílio Borges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo da Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute Toninho Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Toninho Coutinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo da Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 81 minutes into the match, Nando Vides had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredo da Costa. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nando Vides was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s attentive Naldo Simão managed to snatch the ball when Tomás Sarmento made a throw-in in the 88th minute of the game. Toninho da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After 92 played minutes Litoral EC - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Moisés Garcia. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
