Adhemar Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Francisco Mota in the 5th minute of the match. The supporters of Capibaribe Stars booed when Mestre GG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaltino Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adhemar Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeu Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After 14 played minutes Capibaribe Stars got a freekick which was hit by Adilson Tavares. If João Francisco Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hernani Lira in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adhemar Vergílio saved Capibaribe Stars from getting behind. Luiz Paulo Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandrinho Pinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Enio Pinho made a huge save. After 26 played minutes Capibaribe Stars got a freekick which was hit by Nico Penha. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernani Lira in the 28th minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Adhemar Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mestre GG's Enio Pinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Mestre GG from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd match minute, Capibaribe Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Meireles to maneuver through the defense. After 46 played minutes Mestre GG got a freekick which was hit by Wilian Fonseca. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hernani Lira to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Sandrinho Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enio Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 52 played minutes Capibaribe Stars got a freekick which was hit by Nico Penha. In the 55th minute, Mestre GG's Célio Munhoz seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Célio Munhoz the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mestre GG protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Célio Munhoz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Enio Pinho had in the 57thth minute some difficulties stopping Nico Penha's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 63rd minute, Mestre GG's Wilian Fonseca dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Enio Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandrinho Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute, João Francisco Mota fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Enio Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandrinho Pinho in the 72nd minute of the match. Enio Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandrinho Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Mestre GG's Leopoldo Barbosa got a free kick in the 87th minute. João Francisco Mota kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Adhemar Vergílio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilian Fonseca in the 92nd minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mestre GG walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
