After a rather tough play, Estrela Solitária's Francisco Alagoano got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 5th minute, Adelino Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clemente Hermes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Alagoano in the 6th minute. The supporters of Romando Futebol Clube booed when Estrela Solitária was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorginho Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adelino Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Nico Dantas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Estrela Solitária's Mário Quirino. Mário Quirino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 31st match minute, Romando Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enio Travassos in the 32nd minute of play forced Romando Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Clemente Hermes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enio Travassos struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Clemente Hermes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estrela Solitária. Mário Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elder Tróia in the 41st minute of the match. Clemente Hermes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Enio Travassos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 47 minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Clemente Hermes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enio Travassos's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Alagoano during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Estrela Solitária getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Francisco Alagoano hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Romando Futebol Clube defense, Enio Travassos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clemente Hermes. The Romando Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clemente Hermes should have stopped the shot. In the 65th minute Francisco Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Hermes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vitinho Gonçalves charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vitinho Gonçalves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Elder Tróia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Romando Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Elder Tróia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mário Quirino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francisco Alagoano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorginho Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Clemente Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Francisco Zonta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Betão Passos's late challenge caught a Romando Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Betão Passos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, Betão Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Estrela Solitária walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
