Valdemar Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandinho França in the 6th minute of the match. After 7 played minutes Quiroga F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Felippe Vianna. In the 9th minute, Ciro Corrêa made a precise shot to the right of Valdemar Lima. Quiroga F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of Quiroga F.C. booed when Atlético Capixaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dieguinho Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernandinho França in the 21st minute of play forced Quiroga F.C.'s goalkeeper Valdemar Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Atlético Capixaba's Dieguinho Barros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdemar Lima made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 42 played minutes Quiroga F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Víktor Paraense. Valdemar Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandinho França, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Atlético Capixaba were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 60 played minutes Quiroga F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Alan de Senna. After having played for 60 minutes, Dieguinho Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Capixaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dieguinho Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 63 minutes into the game, Atlético Capixaba's Fernandinho França nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdemar Lima made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Quiroga F.C.'s Valdemar Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dieguinho Barros in the 67th minute of play. Dieguinho Barros scored 0-5 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdemar Lima, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ciro Corrêa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute, Dieguinho Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valdemar Lima was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. The Atlético Capixaba players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
