After a rather tough play, Ricart Futebol Clube's Pedrinho Cardoso got a free kick in the 2nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Durvalino Simões in the 5th minute of play forced Ricart Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Gugu Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quiroga F.C.'s Valdemar Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrinho Cardoso in the 10th minute of play. Simão Duarte hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Valdemar Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Macedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luizão Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Víktor Paraense kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the game, Ricart Futebol Clube's Pedrinho Cardoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdemar Lima made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ricart Futebol Clube's Gugu Mendes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Ricart Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Valdemar Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquinhos Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Ricart Futebol Clube:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Quiroga F.C.:s goal. The goalkeeper, Gugu Mendes, was totally fooled by Quiroga F.C.'s Durvalino Simões, who 47 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marquinhos Azevedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mané Bittencourt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Durvalino Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 59 minutes, Simão Duarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ricart Futebol Clube and the Quiroga F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Simão Duarte hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After 62 played minutes Quiroga F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Toscano. Kauan Cardoso struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Valdemar Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ricart Futebol Clube. After 69 played minutes Quiroga F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Alan de Senna. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marquinhos Azevedo in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valdemar Lima saved Quiroga F.C. from getting behind. 72 minutes into the game, Kauan Cardoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ricart Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quiroga F.C. the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ricart Futebol Clube's Breno Araújo got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 81st match minute, Ricart Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermínio Barreto to maneuver through the defense. Quiroga F.C.'s Durvalino Simões couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 81st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ricart Futebol Clube. 84 minutes into the match, Quiroga F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Pedrinho Cardoso came free, but Valdemar Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Durvalino Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Valdemar Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquinhos Azevedo in the 93rd minute of the match. Marquinhos Azevedo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Valdemar Lima came out and tried to block the shot, but Marquinhos Azevedo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 95th minute.
