Anderson Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Britto in the 27th minute of the match. Duarte Azevedo went to the cornerflag to take it. 47 minutes into the match, New Loser FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Carlos Toscano came free, but Eliseu Negri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The New Loser FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Clube do Remo MZ were winning 0-2.

After a rather tough play, New Loser FC's Olívio Coutinho got a free kick in the 51st minute.
