Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Délio Alvarenga started the match with the kick off. After 5 minutes, Tiago Gabriel Furtado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético da Colina and the Coritiba Foot Ball Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Atlético da Colina's Tiago Gabriel Furtado got a free kick in the 5th minute. Hernani Mello hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. João Paulo Cunha scored 0-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kléber Schmidt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 33 minutes into the game, João Pedro Mesquita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético da Colina the free kick. The supporters of Atlético da Colina booed when Coritiba Foot Ball Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Pedro Mesquita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Kléber Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paulo Cunha in the 36th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's goal looked a bit too open when Hernani Mello came free, but Kléber Schmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Atlético da Colina were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tiago Gabriel Furtado made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Paulão Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléber Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Erivaldo Paraibano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Natã Gerber. Atlético da Colina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erivaldo Paraibano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Délio Alvarenga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Natã Gerber read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Belmiro Cordeiro got a free kick in the 62nd minute. A collision led to Coritiba Foot Ball Club getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Remo do Valle hit a great ball. Edmundo Trancoso hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 79 played minutes Atlético da Colina got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Gabriel Linares. Natã Gerber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Délio Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hernani Mello charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hernani Mello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 81 played minutes Atlético da Colina got a freekick which was hit by Hernani Mello. In the 82nd minute, Edgar Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiago Gabriel Furtado struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Kléber Schmidt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético da Colina. In the 96th minute, João Paulo Cunha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético da Colina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Atlético da Colina eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
