The audience thought a goal was coming when Válter Mattos got free with Wilton Fontes in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celsinho Magalhães in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilton Fontes saved Jereba 4EVER from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guga Chaves in the 25th minute of play forced O MOTIVO ⚽'s goalkeeper Dida Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Jereba 4EVER's Manoel Trancoso got a free kick in the 26th minute. 31 minutes into the match, O MOTIVO ⚽'s goal looked a bit too open when Guga Chaves came free, but Dida Braga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 minutes, Natã Fonseca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jereba 4EVER and the O MOTIVO ⚽ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jereba 4EVER's Wilton Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celsinho Magalhães in the 42nd minute of play. In the 47th minute Manoel Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manoel Trancoso to make the kick off. Celsinho Magalhães charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celsinho Magalhães the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Celsinho Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Dida Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guga Chaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. O MOTIVO ⚽'s Dida Braga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save O MOTIVO ⚽ from getting a goal against them. Dida Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guga Chaves in the 65th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes Jereba 4EVER got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Vargas. Wilton Fontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Válter Mattos's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Válter Mattos put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Wilton Fontes. In the 75th minute Geovânio de Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilton Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, Celsinho Magalhães sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Jereba 4EVER's Wilton Fontes didn't even have to move. Celsinho Magalhães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilton Fontes having to make a save. After 88 played minutes Jereba 4EVER got a freekick which was hit by Guga Chaves. Jereba 4EVER's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
