The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, Hélder de Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belo Academy the free kick. Kléber Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubens Félix in the 12th minute of the match. Zé Augusto Koehler received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. In the 17th minute of the match, Marcelo Goiano got a very nice opportunity to score, but Felippe Guerra was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerson Saraiva during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Augusto Koehler was the one to do the kick off. Edgar Godoi hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After 64 minutes of play, Belo Academy's Carlos Alberto Leal made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kléber Schmidt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kléber Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubens Félix in the 67th minute of the match. Kléber Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Figueiredo in the 70th minute of play. A collision led to Belo Academy getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Zé Augusto Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Alberto Leal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Kléber Schmidt made a huge save. With a little luck, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Kléber Schmidt got control of the ball when Vito Quadros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kléber Schmidt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paulo Figueiredo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 82 minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Belo Academy had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
