Luisão Capixaba was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 35 minutes into the game, UPTEXTIL.COM's Humberto Magalhães nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leopoldo Cerezo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Leopoldo Cerezo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Gerber in the 40th minute of the match. UPTEXTIL.COM's Carlos Eduardo de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naldo Marquez in the 44th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Luís Fábio Machado charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Fábio Machado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 54th minute, Luisão Capixaba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 57 played minutes UPTEXTIL.COM got a freekick which was hit by Dinei Proença. Nelsinho do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Humberto Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to UPTEXTIL.COM getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. With a little luck, UPTEXTIL.COM's Carlos Eduardo de Carvalho got control of the ball when Reinaldo Almeida tried to sneak it across the goal line.
