Spectators: 162 (Terracing: 122, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Deivid Moreira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Deivid Moreira in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guga Neves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Nilton Bittencourt took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Guga Neves to make any attempt to save it. Adhemar Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga Neves having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gildo de Carvalho in the 22nd minute of play forced Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goalkeeper Cacá Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hugo de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Nova Venécia-ES's Guga Neves got control of the ball when Nilton Bittencourt tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Lino Freire hit a great ball. Cacá Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Guilherme de Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee gave Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ a penalty, 48 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Wilton Viana, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Nova Venécia-ES's Guga Neves. 2-0.

The wind increased when Luís Guilherme de Mendonça made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Nova Venécia-ES getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Gildo de Carvalho hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, one of Nova Venécia-ES:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nova Venécia-ES. In the 63rd minute, Nilton Bittencourt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guga Neves was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. If Luís Guilherme de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 69th match minute, Nova Venécia-ES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gildo de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. Guga Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deivid Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Ademir Varela could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Cacá Sousa made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anselmo Vasconcelos during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nilton Bittencourt took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guga Neves. Guga Neves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Adhemar Pinho charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adhemar Pinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Nova Venécia-ES booed when Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adhemar Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute Luís Guilherme de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cacá Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Deivid Moreira came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Deivid Moreira couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Nova Venécia-ES getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Dinei Azevedo hit a great ball.
