In the 7th match minute, Vila Mascote FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duda Ramos to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodriguinho Ceresso in the 11th minute of play forced PREZULO FC's goalkeeper Christiano Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alexandre Loureiro came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the PREZULO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Loureiro couldn't finish the play. In the 16th match minute, Vila Mascote FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim Vinhas to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th match minute, PREZULO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Madureira to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Fernando Sabóia made a precise shot to the right of Christiano Figueiredo. PREZULO FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fábio Pena during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 27 played minutes Vila Mascote FC got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Pena. After some careless play in the PREZULO FC defense, Rodriguinho Ceresso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christiano Figueiredo. The PREZULO FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christiano Figueiredo should have stopped the shot. After 39 minutes of play, Vila Mascote FC's Cássio Araújo made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christiano Figueiredo was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilson de Sousa to strike the kick off in the second half. If Amauri Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafinha Godoi having to interfere. After 53 minutes, Serafim Vinhas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vila Mascote FC and the PREZULO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Serafim Vinhas hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After having played for 54 minutes, Gilson de Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PREZULO FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilson de Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, PREZULO FC's Christiano Figueiredo got control of the ball when Olavo Bastos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Amauri Cearense hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Christiano Figueiredo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olavo Bastos in the 69th minute. After a rather tough play, Vila Mascote FC's Duda Ramos got a free kick in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dito Eger in the 75th minute of play forced Vila Mascote FC's goalkeeper Rafinha Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafinha Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Loureiro in the 80th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Vila Mascote FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
