Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Vicente Chaves made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Aloísio Vargas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nelson Pires. A collision led to Miau Stars getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Valdir Lopez hit a great ball. If Perivaldo Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renatinho Linhares kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Miau Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Perivaldo Valle came free, but Sidney Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdir Lopez hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Miau Stars defense, Fábio Garcia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sidney Queirós. The Miau Stars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sidney Queirós should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube booed when Miau Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sidney Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Chaves in the 30th minute of the match. Aloísio Vargas acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 33rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Valdir Lopez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naldo Guedes in the 38th minute of play forced Miau Stars's goalkeeper Sidney Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube booed when Miau Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilson Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Naldo Guedes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sidney Queirós was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Cruzeiro Esporte Clube made a substitution. Ian Abreu replaced Renatinho Linhares. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nelson Pires made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Ian Abreu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sidney Queirós. Miau Stars's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ian Abreu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Chaves in the 57th minute of play forced Miau Stars's goalkeeper Sidney Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Nelson Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miau Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelson Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Leonardo Porto was substituted for Gláuber Meira. Sidney Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Chaves in the 63rd minute of play. With a little luck, Miau Stars's Sidney Queirós got control of the ball when Naldo Guedes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 69 minutes into the game, when Alex Andrade put in a rough tackle. Alex Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Alex Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 73 played minutes Miau Stars got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo das Neves. Dráuzio Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Vicente Chavess short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Sidney Queirós to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ian Abreu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sidney Queirós came out and tried to block the shot, but Ian Abreu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 78th minute. Miau Stars's Sidney Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Abreu in the 81st minute of play. Sidney Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo Guedes in the 88th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Ramón Barbosa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. In the 97th minute Naldo Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
