Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Oscar Veiga made the kick off which started today's match. Aloísio Vargas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agnaldo Dias in the 3rd minute of the match. Doriva Prado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Chaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute, Oscar Veiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aloísio Vargas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, GLADIADORES's Rômulo Neves got a free kick in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the match, GLADIADORES's goalkeeper Doriva Prado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vicente Chaves. After 22 minutes, Gláuber Meira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cruzeiro Esporte Clube and the GLADIADORES players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cruzeiro Esporte Clube fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! Cruzeiro Esporte Clube:s Aloísio Vargas showed great skill when he stopped Flavinho Brodel:s penalty. 23 minutes into the game, GLADIADORES's Flavinho Brodel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aloísio Vargas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 30th minute, GLADIADORES's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Renatinho Linhares fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naldo Guedes in the 31st minute of play forced GLADIADORES's goalkeeper Doriva Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Renatinho Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 played minutes GLADIADORES got a freekick which was hit by Zeca Guimarães. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Chaves got free with Doriva Prado in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Doriva Prado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perivaldo Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the game, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Perivaldo Valle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Doriva Prado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Chaves to make the kick off. Naldo Guedes kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Doriva Prado came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Vicente Chaves. But to his dismay, Vicente Chaves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Chaves in the 62nd minute of play forced GLADIADORES's goalkeeper Doriva Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ian Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Naldo Guedes suffered a sprained foot after 65 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Oscar Veiga came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the GLADIADORES fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Veiga couldn't finish the play. Oscar Veiga scored 2-3 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aloísio Vargas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. GLADIADORES were furious when Enio Moraes was red carded, 77 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Enio Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, GLADIADORES's Enio Moraes got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute of the match Adelino Simão sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Doriva Prado skillfully saved the ball. Leonardo Porto kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Guga Gaspar hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the game, Ramón Barbosa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Doriva Prado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ian Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, GLADIADORES's Flavinho Brodel got a free kick in the 89th minute. After 91 minutes of play, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Ramón Barbosa made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Doriva Prado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Doriva Prado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramón Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube fully deserved thier win.
