In the 40th match minute, ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percy Capixaba to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Cléber Azevedo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Guga Neves. That made the score 4-1 in the 46 minute of play.

In the 52nd minute, Nova Venécia-ES's Gildo de Carvalho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Doriva Saraiva. Doriva Saraiva yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-2. After a defensive mix-up in Nova Venécia-ES's zone, Enéas Ramalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guga Neves came out of the goal and Enéas Ramalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the match, Cléber Azevedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guga Neves. Nova Venécia-ES's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cléber Azevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. João Augusto Pirani kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Gildo de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Doriva Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cléber Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, Nova Venécia-ES's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamim Freitas came free, but Guga Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benjamim Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doriva Saraiva was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luís Guilherme de Mendonça showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-3 in the 80 minute of play.
