After 22 minutes, Nestor Leão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crisólia FBPA and the Capivariano F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edson de Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Francisco Tande in the 87th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Penha in the 96th minute of play forced Capivariano F.C.'s goalkeeper Cristóvão Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
