In the 10th match minute, Buritama Sports was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gino Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Capivariano F.C.'s Cristóvão Souza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Azevedo in the 12th minute of play. Cristóvão Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dedê Britto, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Willian Pernambucano scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristóvão Souza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Buritama Sports's Hortêncio Salgado got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 27th minute Willian Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristóvão Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 minutes, Willian Pernambucano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buritama Sports and the Capivariano F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Buritama Sports was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willian Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. After 38 minutes of play, Capivariano F.C.'s João Francisco Tande made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Genílson Porto was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Buritama Sports's Genílson Porto got control of the ball when João Francisco Tande tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Francisco Tande stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If João Francisco Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristóvão Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willian Pernambucano in the 59th minute of the match. Cristóvão Souza made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Pedro Augusto Fontes sent off a good shot on target. After 60 played minutes Capivariano F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Frédson Galvão. 64 minutes into the match, Capivariano F.C.'s goalkeeper Cristóvão Souza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Willian Pernambucano. When Capivariano F.C.'s Alan Rossi in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Buritama Sports's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willian Pernambucano got free with Cristóvão Souza in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 91 played minutes Buritama Sports got a freekick which was hit by Dedê Britto. Buritama Sports were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
