The supporters of Brazil Academy booed when Buritama Sports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelson Trevisan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Róbson Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brazil Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Róbson Simão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Genílson Porto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th match minute, Buritama Sports was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hortêncio Salgado to maneuver through the defense. Róbson Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Genílson Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

João Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dedê Britto, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Buritama Sports's goal looked a bit too open when César Torres came free, but Genílson Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Willian Pernambucano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of João Azevedo. The goal made the score 0-4. Willian Pernambucano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but João Azevedo made a huge save. When Armando Meira came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Brazil Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Meira couldn't finish the play. Fiori Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Gino Azevedo made a precise shot to the right of João Azevedo. Brazil Academy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. After a rather tough play, Buritama Sports's Nelson Trevisan got a free kick in the 97th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Buritama Sports walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
