Baltazar Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when David Neves sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Inácio Souza in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baltazar Nascimento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Augusto Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Baltazar Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Agnaldo Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 31 minutes, Jarbas de Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC La Masia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarbas de Godoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei Palmeira in the 43rd minute of play forced Futebol Dos Parça's goalkeeper José Maria Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 43 minutes, Clemente Marinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Futebol Dos Parça and the FC La Masia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rodrigo Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Baltazar Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Maria Melo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Paulo Borges in the 65th minute. Futebol Dos Parça's José Maria Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Futebol Dos Parça from getting a goal against them. Claudinei Palmeira hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Claudinei Palmeira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 71st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.
