The audience was convinced that Gildo Mandrak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Pedro de Queirós was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Umberto Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Abelardo Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Florestal Futebol Clube reached it. Zé Pedro de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gildo Mandrak in the 13th minute of the match. Gildo Mandrak took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zé Pedro de Queirós. Zé Pedro de Queirós dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Zé Pedro de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gildo Mandrak in the 18th minute of play. Zé Pedro de Queirós came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Florestal Futebol Clube's Gildo Mandrak. But to his dismay, Gildo Mandrak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. With a little luck, Florestal Futebol Clube's Ronaldo Sabóia got control of the ball when Juarês Vides tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Florestal Futebol Clube booed when America Futebol Clube SP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitório Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, Umberto Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. America Futebol Clube SP's Zé Pedro de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gildo Mandrak in the 34th minute of play. In the 37thth minute of the game Gildo Mandrak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but America Futebol Clube SP's Zé Pedro de Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ronaldo Sabóia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juarês Vides in the 42nd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gildo Mandrak made a kick off. Zé Pedro de Queirós made an important save on a dangerous shot by Durval Monteiro in the 52nd minute. A collision led to Florestal Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Luiz Neves hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Florestal Futebol Clube walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
