Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bola Forte took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Simão de Lara got free with Otávio Neto in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th minute, Mamutes EC's Bola Forte dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Bola Forte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otávio Neto having to interfere. A collision led to XV de Piracicaba getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Gualter Maranhense hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the match it was 2-1 when Bola Forte shot a long shot which zipped by XV de Piracicaba's goalkeeper at the right pole. The supporters of XV de Piracicaba booed when Mamutes EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fábio Carioca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nilson Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Augusto de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mamutes EC's Nilson Paranaense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Augusto de Amaral in the 26th minute of play. Simão de Lara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Otávio Neto made a huge save. Nilson Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualter Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualter Maranhense in the 38th minute of play forced Mamutes EC's goalkeeper Nilson Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Bola Forte took a quick shot and it went in 4-1 without a chance for Otávio Neto to make any attempt to save it. Cido Cosme was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enéas Brodel to make the kick off. Gualter Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson Paranaense having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Erasmo Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. XV de Piracicaba's Carlos Alberto Nóbrega shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 54th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Nilson Paranaense but with some difficulty. Simão de Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cafu Ferreira charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cafu Ferreira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cafu Ferreira hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Cafu Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, XV de Piracicaba's João Augusto de Amaral got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute Walmyr Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otávio Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nilson Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualter Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Gualter Maranhense kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nilson Paranaense. That made the score 4-2 in the 73 minute of play. Mamutes EC's Emílio Dracena was substituted for Fábio Carioca. Mamutes EC's Nilson Paranaense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Mamutes EC from getting a goal against them. After 79 minutes, Bola Forte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mamutes EC and the XV de Piracicaba players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes Mamutes EC got a freekick which was hit by Bola Forte. 87 minutes into the match, Gualter Maranhense dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nilson Paranaense, 4-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmyr Hoffmann in the 93rd minute of play forced XV de Piracicaba's goalkeeper Otávio Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 94 played minutes Mamutes EC got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr Hoffmann.
