In the 15th minute Júnior Cosme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Túlio de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Renato Saldanha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Severino Aguiar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 25 minutes, Renato Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red John S.K's Severino Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Paulo Guerra in the 35th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Júnior Cosme to make the kick off. Túlio de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reginaldo Donatello, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. André Luiz Cerezo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severino Aguiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Severino Aguiar made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Luiz Cerezo in the 64th minute. Renato Saldanha struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Severino Aguiar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Seterma Tractors. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Red John S.K had won after a very even match.
