Armandinho de Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 49th minute. When Claudinei Azevedo fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's protests and gave Claudinei Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th minute, Claudinei Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th play minute Serginho Arantes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Virgílio Lima. 0-3. After 74 played minutes INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Azevedo. The supporters of Ique Football Club booed when INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabinho Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Serginho Arantes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Virgílio Lima made a huge save. Rafael Pena's late challenge caught a INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
