Hílton Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After 14 played minutes Goblins F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Egídio Cearense. 27 de Mayo's Carlos Eduardo Rossi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 15th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Goblins F.C.. With a little luck, 27 de Mayo's Raí Bertassi got control of the ball when Zé Pedro Mendes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Zé Pedro Mendes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raí Bertassi was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. 26 minutes into the game, Dedê de Senna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. The referee showed Serafim Terra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of 27 de Mayo booed when Goblins F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafim Terra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Eduardo Rossi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sílvio Moraes. Goblins F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 39 played minutes, 27 de Mayo's Carlos Eduardo Rossi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sílvio Moraes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in 27 de Mayo reached it. Raí Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Pedro Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After 43 played minutes 27 de Mayo got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Eduardo Rossi. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dedê de Senna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luiz Fabiano Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Sílvio Moraes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of 27 de Mayo booed when Goblins F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldemar Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Goblins F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dedê de Senna came free, but Sílvio Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute Waldemar Ramos suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Felipe Paulista fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 27 de Mayo's protests and gave Felipe Paulista a yellow card for diving instead. After 60 played minutes 27 de Mayo got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Paulista. In the 63rd minute, Zé Pedro Mendes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raí Bertassi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 69 minutes into the match, Goblins F.C.'s goalkeeper Sílvio Moraes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dedê de Senna. Serafim Terra kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Goblins F.C.'s zone, Luiz Fabiano Albuquerque stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sílvio Moraes came out of the goal and Luiz Fabiano Albuquerque tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute, Felipe Drogba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Goblins F.C.'s Sílvio Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fabiano Albuquerque in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th match minute, 27 de Mayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fabiano Albuquerque to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Pedro Mendes in the 85th minute of play forced 27 de Mayo's goalkeeper Raí Bertassi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of 27 de Mayo booed when Goblins F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enio Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dedê de Senna's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sílvio Moraes firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sílvio Moraes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hílton Cardoso's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. 93 minutes into the match, 27 de Mayo's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro Mendes came free, but Raí Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serafim Terra was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 96th minute, Serafim Terra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The 27 de Mayo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
