Mazinho Damião started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute of the match Régis Vides shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abelardo Saraiva showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Bucéfalo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte Marquez came free, but Abelardo Saraiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abelardo Saraiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Guedes in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laerte Marquez in the 7th minute of play forced Bucéfalo FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Saraiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Bruninho Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Bucéfalo FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Marquinhos Pitta hit a great ball. In the 12th match minute, 卡納里尼奧 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílton Marinho to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, Mazinho Damião hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ulisses Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Bucéfalo FC booed when 卡納里尼奧 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 43rd minute Agostinho Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Agostinho Guedes made the kick off in the second half. Régis Vides hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agostinho Guedes in the 55th minute of play forced Bucéfalo FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Saraiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Agostinho Guedes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abelardo Saraiva. Bucéfalo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agostinho Guedes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as 卡納里尼奧 FC's Laerte Marquez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abelardo Saraiva. That made the score 0-3 after 68 minutes of play. Eurico Paes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute Agostinho Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Saraiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavinho Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Marinho having to interfere. In the 91st match minute, 卡納里尼奧 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Régis Vides to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded 卡納里尼奧 FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bucéfalo FC.
