The referee gave INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Serginho Arantes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of S.C. Ferrari's Sílvio Antunes. 0-1. Fabinho Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serginho Arantes hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Vinícius Carneiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sílvio Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabinho Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Joaquim Neiva was substituted for Zé Paulo Marques. In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for S.C. Ferrari. Edu da Cunha stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dida Little. 1-1. Serginho Arantes scored 1-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sílvio Antunes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dida Little made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breno Ribeiro in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristóvão Valadares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Serginho Arantes came free and shot a quick shot against goal 52 minutes in the game, fortunately Sílvio Antunes had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 53rd match minute, S.C. Ferrari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th match minute, S.C. Ferrari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breno Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Paraibano hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Ferrari's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Claudinei Azevedo scored to the left of an out of position Sílvio Antunes, making the score, 1-3. 77 minutes into the game, Claudinei Azevedo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Sílvio Antunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serginho Arantes in the 92nd minute of play forced S.C. Ferrari's goalkeeper Sílvio Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristóvão Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Little having to interfere. Tostão Mota kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The S.C.
