When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Osvaldinho de Amaral sped through S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vitor José. After 14 played minutes S.E.R. Caxias do Sul got a freekick which was hit by João Carlos Gaspar. Osvaldinho de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitor José having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Eriberto Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute Carlos Alberto Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celsinho Cerezo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s Celsinho Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Carlos Gaspar in the 21st minute of play. Charles Pereira charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charles Pereira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of S.E.R. Caxias do Sul:s goal. The goalkeeper, Celsinho Cerezo, was totally fooled by S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Carlos Alberto Viana, who 54 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. João Carlos Gaspar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Celsinho Cerezo made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡'s zone, João Carlos Gaspar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celsinho Cerezo came out of the goal and João Carlos Gaspar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Mané de Queiroz came free, but Vitor José reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giovanni Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. A collision led to IpiráCity FC ✠⚓♡ getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Eriberto Velasco hit a great ball. Celsinho Cerezo made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when João Carlos Gaspar sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Pereira in the 87th minute of play forced S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Vitor José to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute Mané de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitor José saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eriberto Velasco hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Celsinho Cerezo came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's João Carlos Gaspar. But to his dismay, João Carlos Gaspar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
