The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reynaldo Siqueira helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, S.C. Reis United's Reynaldo Siqueira got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 12th minute, Reynaldo Siqueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Villaverde Celeste Clube's Cido Furlan got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafa Mello in the 19th minute of play forced Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalkeeper Geovanni Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Hermínio Reis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C. Reis United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Villaverde Celeste Clube the free kick. In the 27th match minute, S.C. Reis United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermínio Reis to maneuver through the defense. Henrique Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Paranaense having to interfere. After having played for 38 minutes, Betão de Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.C. Reis United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Betão de Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, S.C. Reis United's goal looked a bit too open when Róbson Donato came free, but João Paulo Urbano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Giuliano David got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Geovanni Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafa Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Henrique Trigo made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the S.C. Reis United defense, Giuliano David kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Paulo Urbano. The S.C. Reis United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Paulo Urbano should have stopped the shot. After 64 minutes, Giuliano David mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Villaverde Celeste Clube and the S.C. Reis United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, S.C. Reis United's Betão de Carvalho got a free kick in the 65th minute. Rafa Mello struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Geovanni Paranaense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C. Reis United. 72 minutes into the match, Giuliano David notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of S.C. Reis United's João Paulo Urbano. João Paulo Urbano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rafa Mello charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafa Mello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Villaverde Celeste Clube booed when S.C. Reis United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafa Mello didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafa Mello in the 79th minute of play forced Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalkeeper Geovanni Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Henrique Trigo notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Villaverde Celeste Clube's Geovanni Paranaense. Geovanni Paranaense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilton Berger in the 93rd minute of play forced S.C. Reis United's goalkeeper João Paulo Urbano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Villaverde Celeste Clube's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
