Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Wellington Moura kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Jataiense Futebol Clube's zone, Zé Pedro Dionísio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Délio Azevedo came out of the goal and Zé Pedro Dionísio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rony Alvarenga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dagoberto de Queirós came out and tried to block the shot, but Rony Alvarenga slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. After 13 minutes, Ronaldo Pinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castanheiro SC and the Jataiense Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Castanheiro SC's Ronaldo Pinho got a free kick in the 14th minute. A hard shot by Víktor Porto from long distance, 14 minutes into the match, got Dagoberto de Queirós's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 19th minute Zé Pedro Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Délio Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Jataiense Futebol Clube defense, Telmo da Fonseca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Délio Azevedo. The Jataiense Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Délio Azevedo should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo da Fonseca in the 29th minute of play forced Jataiense Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Délio Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Délio Azevedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Telmo da Fonseca went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Wellington Moura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Dagoberto de Queirós made a huge save. The supporters of Jataiense Futebol Clube booed when Castanheiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Pinho in the 43rd minute of play forced Jataiense Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Délio Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Pinho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Délio Azevedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Castanheiro SC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronaldo Pinho to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Jataiense Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Délio Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isaltino Dionísio. Délio Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zé Pedro Dionísio in the 56th minute. Délio Azevedo made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Ronaldo Pinho sent off a good shot on target. 59 minutes into the match, Jataiense Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Pinho came free, but Délio Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Zé Pedro Dionísio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Délio Azevedo, 1-4. Jataiense Futebol Clube's Glauco Correia was substituted for José Paulo Romero. Dagoberto de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaran Goiano in the 72nd minute of the match. Délio Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Pinho in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo da Fonseca in the 80th minute of play forced Jataiense Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Délio Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rdth minute of the game Telmo da Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jataiense Futebol Clube's Délio Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edmundo Castro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dagoberto de Queirós. Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 88th minute of the match Jataiense Futebol Clube got a corner. Castanheiro SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edmundo Castro ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Edmundo Castro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dagoberto de Queirós quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldo Pinho got free with Délio Azevedo in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wellington Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Dagoberto de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Castanheiro SC played a much better game than Jataiense Futebol Clube and deserved their victory. The Jataiense Futebol Clube players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
