Reis United's João Paulo Urbano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Leite in the 5th minute of play. João Paulo Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jefferson de Godoi in the 8th minute of the match. Alberto Guimarães kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Jefferson de Godoi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. João Paulo Urbano came out and tried to block the shot, but Jefferson de Godoi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. João Paulo Urbano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jefferson de Godoi in the 22nd minute of play. Vinícius Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 38th minute Henrique Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeu do Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 defense, Betão de Carvalho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tadeu do Valle. The A. A. Carioca 【CIMZ】 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tadeu do Valle should have stopped the shot. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Henrique Trigo made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Jefferson de Godoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Paulo Urbano. Reynaldo Siqueira's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tadeu do Valle firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 79th minute, Erik Leite got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Betão de Carvalho during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
