In the 5th minute, Luiz Fábio Hermes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Imbituba - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Olavo Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lino Souto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Jundiaí -DMZ- getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Roger Leme hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jundiaí -DMZ-'s zone, Joélson Madureira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olavo Diniz came out of the goal and Joélson Madureira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Franklin Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Imbituba - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Franklin Gaspar came free, but Jeremias Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Wilson Meireles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeremias Vale was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Lino Souto hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Luiz Fábio Hermes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joélson Madureira to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Wilson Meireles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeremias Vale was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Edmundo Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Jeremias Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jundiaí -DMZ- made a substitution. Marcelinho de Alcântara replaced Felippe Godoi. 72 minutes into the match, Imbituba - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Wilson Meireles came free, but Jeremias Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Imbituba - FSCMZ booed when Jundiaí -DMZ- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Hermes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 75 played minutes Imbituba - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Juarês Antunes. 76 minutes into the match, Jundiaí -DMZ-'s Edmundo Hermes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeremias Vale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jeremias Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilson Meireles in the 77th minute of the match. Lino Souto's late challenge caught a Jundiaí -DMZ-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lino Souto helped the player get up and apologised. Olavo Diniz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Fábio Hermes in the 84th minute. Jundiaí -DMZ-'s Olavo Diniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joélson Madureira in the 87th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Gustavo Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Jundiaí -DMZ- were the better team. Jundiaí -DMZ-'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
