The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of Northern California:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of A.F Cuervos Azulgranas:s goal. 11 minutes into the match, Venancio Beturian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fidel Hernando. Northern California's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Venancio Beturian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Laureano Furtado charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laureano Furtado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Laureano Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Laureano Furtado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernardo Santo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Northern California's Bernardo Santo got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes into the game, Bernardo Santo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jose Vitin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fidel Hernando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfredo Marcones in the 36th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the game, Northern California's Angel Teofilio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jose Vitin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The audience was convinced that Godfredo Marcones's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fidel Hernando was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Godfredo Marcones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angel Teofilio to strike the kick off in the second half. Angel Teofilio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jose Vitin having to make a save. Fidel Hernando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godfredo Marcones in the 56th minute of play. After some careless play in the A.F Cuervos Azulgranas defense, Angel Teofilio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jose Vitin. The A.F Cuervos Azulgranas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jose Vitin should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Northern California's Fidel Hernando got control of the ball when Jeremias Enol tried to sneak it across the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Northern California's Samuel Burutzagi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jose Vitin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Angel Teofilio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Northern California fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Bernardo Santo took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jose Vitin. Jose Vitin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. Niceto Iraido charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
